پسر بازیگوش

Peter was eight and a half years old, and he went to a school near his house. He always went there and came home on foot, and he usually got back on time, but last Friday he came home from school late. His mother was in the kitchen, and she saw him and said to him, "Why are you late today, Peter  

"My teacher was angry and sent me to the headmaster after our lessons," Peter answered

?""To the headmaster?" his mother said. "Why did she send you to him  

"Because she asked a question in the class; Peter said, "and none of the children gave her the answer except me."

His mother was angry. "But why did the teacher send you to the headmaster then? Why didn"t she send all the other stupid children?" she asked Peter  

."Because her question was, "Who put glue on my chair?" Peter said

پیتر هشت سال و نیمش بود و به یک مدرسه در نزدیکی خونشون می‌رفت. او همیشه پیاده به آن جا می‌رفت و بر می‌گشت، و همیشه به موقع برمی‌گشت، اما جمعه‌ی قبل از مدرسه دیر به خانه آمد. مادرش در آشپزخانه بود،‌ و وقتی او (پیتر) را دید ازش پرسید «پیتر، چرا امروز دیر آمدی»؟

پیتر گفت: معلم عصبانی بود و بعد از درس مرا به پیش مدیر فرستاد.

مادرش گفت: پیش مدیر؟ چرا تو را پیش او فرستاد؟

پیتر گفت: برای اینکه او در کلاس یک سوال پرسید و هیچکس به غیر از من به سوال او جواب نداد.

مادرش عصبانی بود و از پیتر پرسید: در آن صورت چرا تو را پیش مدیر فرستاد؟ چرا بقیه‌ی بچه‌های احمق رو نفرستاد؟

پیتر گفت: برای اینکه سوالش این بود «چه کسی روی صندلی من چسب گذاشته؟»

Apple Story

A teacher teaching Maths to five-year-old student asked him, "If I give you one apple and one apple and one apple, how many apples will you have? "Within a few seconds the student replied confidently, "Four!"

The dismayed teacher was expecting an effortless correct answer (three). She was disappointed. "Maybe the child did not listen properly," she thought. She repeated, "My boy, listen carefully. If I give you one apple and one apple and one apple, how many apples will you have?"

The student had seen the disappointment on his teacher's face. He calculated again on his fingers. But within him he was also searching for the answer that will make the teacher happy. His search for the answer was not for the correct one, but the one that will make his teacher happy. This time hesitatingly he replied, "Four…"

The disappointment stayed on the teacher's face. She remembered that this student liked strawberries. She thought maybe he doesn't like apples and that is making him loose focus. This time with an exaggerated excitement and twinkling in her eyes she asked, "If I give you one strawberry and one strawberry and one strawberry, then how many you will have?"

Seeing the teacher happy, the boy calculated on his fingers again. There was no pressure on him, but a little on the teacher. She wanted her new approach to succeed. With a hesitating smile the student enquired, "Three?"

The teacher now had a victorious smile. Her approach had succeeded. She wanted to congratulate herself. But one last thing remained. Once again she asked him, "Now if I give you one apple and one apple and one more apple how many will you have?"
Promptly the student answered, "Four!"

The teacher was aghast. "How my boy, how?" she demanded in a little stern and irritated voice. In a voice that was low and hesitating young student replied, "Because I already have one apple in my bag."

Moral of the Story:
When someone gives you an answer that is different from what you expect, don't think they are wrong. There maybe an angle that you have not understood at all. You will have to listen and understand, but never listen with a predetermined notion.


یک معلم ریاضی که به یک پسر پنج ساله ریاضی یاد می‌داد ازش پرسید: اگر من بهت یک سیب و یک سیب و یکی بیشتر سیب بدهم تو چند تا سیب خواهی داشت؟ پسر بعد از چند ثانیه با اطمینان گفت: ۴ تا!

معلم نگران شده انتظار یک جواب صحیح آسان رو داشت (۳). او نا امید شده بود. او فکر کرد “شاید بچه خوب گوش نکرده است” تکرار کرد: پسرم، خوب گوش کن. اگر من به تو یک سیب و یک سیب دیگه و یکی بیشتر سیب بدهم تو چند تا سیب خواهی داشت؟

پسر که در قیافه معلمش نومیدی می‌دید دوباره شروع کرد به حساب کردن با انگشتانش در حالیکه او دنبال جوابی بود که معلمش رو خوشحال کند تلاش او برای یافتن جواب صحیح نبود تلاشش برای یافتن جوابی بود که معلمش را خوشحال کند. برای همین با تامل پاسخ داد “۴..″

نومیدی در صورت معلم باقی ماند. به یادش اومد که این دانش آموز توت فرنگی رو دوست دارد. او فکر کرد شاید پسرک سیب رو دوست ندارد و برای همین نمی‌تونه تمرکز داشته باشه. در این موقع او با هیجان فوق العاده و چشم‌های برق‌زده پرسید: اگر من به تو یک توت فرنگی و یکی دیگه و یکی بیشتر توت فرنگی بدهم تو چند تا توت فرنگی خواهی داشت؟

معلم خوشحال بنظر می‌رسید و پسرک با انگشتانش دوباره حساب کرد. هیچ فشاری روی او نبود اما روی معلم کمی وجود داشت. او می خواست رویکرد جدیدش به موفقیت بیانجامد. دانش آموز با لبخندی توام با تامل جواب داد “۳؟″

حالا خانم معلم تبسم پیروزمندانه داشت. رویکردش موفق شده بود. او می خواست به خودش تبریک بگه ولی یه چیزی مونده بود او دوباره از پسر پرسید: اگر من به تو یک سیب و یک سیب دیگه و یکی دیگه بیشتر سیب بدهم تو چند تا سیب خواهی داشت؟ پسرک فوری جواب داد “۴″!

خانم معلم مبهوت شده بود و با صدای گرفته و خشمگین پرسید چطور ؟ آخه چطور؟ پسرک با صدای پایین و با تامل پاسخ داد “برای اینکه من قبلا یک سیب در کیفم داشتم”

نتیجه اخلاقی داستان :
وقتی کسی به شما جوابی را می دهد که با آن چیزی که انتظار دارید متفاوت است، فکر نکنید که آنها در اشتباه هستند. شاید زاویه ای است که شما به هیچ وجه درک نکرده اید. باید گوش دهید و درک کنید، اما هرگز با یک تصور از پیش تعیین شده گوش ندهید.
